Ground 99 (in Maltese “L-Art 99”) is conceived to promote NEW + VITAL multidisciplinary practices, video & performance. Inviting international and local artists to experiment within an unusual set of cross-platform environments. Seeking creative synergies during an ever-changing program.
Ground 99 with its multidisciplinary ways of “being-in-the-world” in the heart of historical Senglea (L-Isla), addresses the broader question of how daily choreographed actions, objects in space, moving images are all used within our current age of digital diversity, to both produce & reconstruct the past, while at the same time, reimagining the ever so fragile ephemeral present.
